Dr. Jayanthi Muniandy is a Senior Lecturer at the School of Languages, Literacies and Translation (SoLLaT), Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM). She specialises in English language teaching, English for Specific Purposes (ESP), linguistics, educational technology, AI-assisted language learning, and 21st-century skills. Her teaching areas include Introduction to Linguistics, Psychology of Language, English language and communication, and workplace-oriented English.
She holds a PhD in Curriculum, Pedagogy and Innovation in Higher Education, a Master’s and Bachelor's degree in Linguistics and English Language Studies. Her academic work integrates teaching, research and innovation, particularly in the areas of AI in language education, CEFR-aligned English language education, learner development and technology-enhanced learning.
She is committed to creating student-centred, authentic and engaging learning experiences that equip students with the linguistic, analytical, digital and professional skills needed for lifelong learning and the workplace.
